Communication & Media Camp
Rising 10-12 Grades
June 10-15, 2024
Communication and Media Preview (CAMP) is a six-day, five-night immersive experience at The University of Alabama. During CAMP, students will practice skills and improve knowledge related to the fields of communication and media, develop connections with aspiring communicators, and become familiar with the college experience.
CAMP dates are June 10-15, 2024 and costs $950, which includes lodging, meals, on-campus transportation and materials.
Scholarships cover the full $950 registration fee and are awarded on a need-basis. There are a limited number of scholarships available to students with expressed financial need

National Intelligence Summer Academy (NISA)
Are you thrilled or fascinated by the field of intelligence – spying and counter spying?
Are you considering a career in the U.S. Intelligence Community? Did you know that the U.S. Intelligence Community is made up of 18 separate agencies? Sign up for an intense and exciting five days of learning from highly qualified Master’s and Ph.D. University of North Georgia instructors and practitioners from July 15-19, 2024.This Academy will:Lift the veil of secrecy on the hidden world of intelligence, exploring the history, challenges, and controversies.
Provide a context for understanding the important role intelligence has played in our nation’s history and continues to play today.
Provide foundational knowledge of intelligence, setting the stage for possible careers in the field.
Provide opportunities to learn from the Academy’s instructors include academia, practitioners, and guest speakersHear from experts that have worked with the CIA, FBI, and the former Soviet Union KGB.

UNG’s Cumming Campus. Round-trip motor coach travel from Cumming campus to and from Cumming campus to Dahlonega campus on last day of the Academy.
Fee for Participants: $149
The fee defrays the expenses of all on-campus meals, course materials, and the motor coach travel on the last day of the program. UNG awards a limited number of scholarships to students who would otherwise be unable to attend due to financial limitations. For more information, email heath.williams@ung.edu.
Note: Students are responsible for the cost of daily travel to and from the Cumming campus and any incidental purchases of snacks and beverages.
Who is Eligible?
50 U.S. high school students who will be sophomores, juniors or seniors in fall 2024.
Priority consideration given to students with a weighted cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Priority consideration also given to students who have studied a strategic language (such as Arabic, Farsi, Russian, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Korean) in school or elsewhere.

Our programs include free virtual summer opportunities for high school students. Participants learn the computer science skills they need to make an impact, gain invaluable insight into diverse tech careers, and connect with inspiring figures in the field.
We will offer two programs during the summer of 2024: the virtual Summer Immersion Program (SIP) and the Self-Paced Program (SPP).

AG Discovery at Florida A&M
Grades 9-12
June 9 - June 22, 2024
AgDiscovery at Florida A&M University (FAMU) is a two-week summer outreach program. The program targets diverse populations of current 8-11 (rising 9th-12th) grade students from across the country interested in animal science, veterinary medicine, and related fields. Students gained experiential learning via different delivery approaches through workshops, laboratory and field exercises, and various cultural and teambuilding activities.
The program gives students many different experiences in animal science to help them better understand and refine their career paths and the opportunity to apply for early admission to FAMU.
In an in-person setting, students live on FAMU's campus for the duration of the program free of cost and receiving complete safety and security services.
FAMU AgDiscovery is annual and starts on the second Sunday in June and ends in two weeks on a Saturday. The FAMU AgDiscovery2024 program will be June 9-22.

Construction Management
Summer Academy for Young Women
Females Grades 11 & 12
June 3 - June 7, 2024
The Construction Management Summer Academy for Young Women hosted by the Auburn University McWhorter School of Building Science is a program geared toward rising 11th - 12th grade female students interested in learning about the exciting and diverse career opportunities available in construction management.
The Construction Management Summer Academy for Young Women (CMSAYW) is a scholarship camp. All students selected will have the $1000 camp fee waived. Applications must be complete and submitted by March 15 to be considered. Please note that an application submission does not guarantee selection. This 5 day/4 night camp is designed to:
Provide hands-on and experiential learning activities incorporating construction drawings, materials/methods, and technologies
Educate the participants on safety management principles, field operations, project management, preconstruction services and other key topics in the industry
Encourage and educate the participants on professional career options available in construction
Offer the participants opportunity to interact with McWhorter School of Building Science faculty, industry professionals and current students
Provide positive experiences on a university campus
There will be opportunities for hands-on construction experiences, visiting an active construction site field trip, working in collaborative team exercises specific to the construction industry to evoke critical thinking and develop deeper problem solving skills, and more!
Camp participants will experience campus-life while residing in Auburn's resident dormitories, eating at campus dining facilities, and enjoying evening social and recreational activities. Campers will have 24/7 counselor supervision.
