Georgia Scholars Institute is a 4-week Summer program for high-achieving high school students. Students take dual-enrollment, core General Education classes, earn Honors College credit, and spend one-full week in June immersed in extra-curricular programs and activities on the UWG campus in Carrollton. Students get to experience college life and make connections with other student-scholars and world-class faculty.

Admissions Criteria
To be eligible to participate in the Georgia Scholars Institute program, students must meet the following requirements:
Rising High School Junior or Senior
Minimum 3.5 academic GPA
Highly motivated and committed to engaging in college-level work during the summer
Steps to Apply
Complete an online UWG Dual Enrollment Application for the Summer 2024 term and then indicate an interest in the Georgia Scholars Institute Summer Program. The application process requires the following supplemental items:
Submit an Official High School Transcript
Submit a Letter of Recommendation from High School Counselor or teacher
Complete the GAFutures Funding Application
Submit Verification of Lawful Presence
Submit Immunization Records
